Thank you!

Dear Bluff Boxers,

Well, we pulled off the first Bluff Box pick-up day this afternoon, and with only a few tiny hiccups. After weeks (months?) of only electronic communication, it was lovely to meet everyone in person and to be able to send you all home with more produce than you might have been expecting. Thank you too for bringing your own bags and for not minding loading them up.

We hope you enjoy the carrots and beets and rhubarb and Japanese turnips and spinach and radishes and bok choy and especially those Welsh bunching onions. Let us know what you liked and what you did with the contents of your "box" and we'll do it all again next week -- except with a completely different selection of produce. (How cool is that?)

PS - To make rhubarb ginger compote, follow the Eric Akis recipe but add 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup finely chopped candied ginger (look in the bulk food section).
